Here's a shot I took using a 24-70mm . There's even a small advantage with a longer focal length vs a shorter one; the Milky Way will appear slightly large in the frame relative to the foreground elements. I've never had to stitch Milky Way photos at 24mm, it's always been wide enough for me.

Canon Astrophotography Lenses. CANON EF-M 22MM F/2 STM LENS. ROKINON 24MM F/1.4 ED AS UMC . Is it ok to have a favourite lens? Well, if not don’t tell all

Image quality results from the EOS 7D Mark II have been added to the Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens review. As expected, the 7D II results show sharper details and slightly more resolution. The bottom line is that this lens is a bargain. B&H has the Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens in stock. A Compact Superb-Resolution 24mm F1.8 Prime Lens. Lateral and spherical aberrations are also very well controlled. For full-frame Canon and Nikon DSLRs, this is simply the best ultra-wide, fast-aperture zoom lens on the market, and not just for astrophotography. (Image credit: Matthew Richards) 3. Sigma 20mm F2 DG DN | C.
EF Mount (Full Frame and APS-C) The Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC is the best full-frame lens for astrophotography. 24mm/1.4: Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC ( Amazon / B&H) The best night photography and astrophotography lens you can buy. Excellently sharp, especially when stopped to f/2. Manual focus. My full review of the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 Using the Canon EF 24-105mm Lens for Astrophotography. 24mm offers a unique field of view compared to a more traditional wide-angle shot of 18mm or wider. Wide-angle lenses such as the Rokinon 14mm F/2.8 are fantastic for capturing a large swath of the Milky Way, but a narrower field of view is better at isolating specific regions of the sky.
The Canon RF 10-20mm F4 L IS STM Lens vs. EF 11-24mm f/4L USM Lens comparison shows the 10-20 weighing less than half as much as the 11-24, and the size difference is also dramatic. The 11-24 requires the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R for use on an EOS R-series camera, which increases these differences.
If having a native Sony lens isn't as important to you, the Sigma Art 14-24mm f/2.8 could be a great option. At $1400 it's less than half the cost of Sony's $3000 G Master, and the difference
Compared to the EF-mount 11-24mm lens, this 10-20mm is a formidable 1.3 lb lighter. In contrast to the RF-mount ultra-wide zooms, this new lens is 1 oz heavier than the 14-35mm f/4, 9.5 oz lighter than the 15-35mm f/2.8, and measures 4.4" long, which sits right in between the two RF lenses. Besides being wider and smaller, this lens touts
I found a EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens For DSLR 24millimeter that is within my budget, I currently have a canon eos 1300d and I was wondering if this was…
It’s a really really small lens but the images it produces are excellent, especially for wide-field astrophotography. It exhibits very little coma or spherical aberration wide-open and is plenty fast for night and astrophotography shooting. The EOS-M can produce excellent low-light images. 15 seconds, f/2.0, ISO 6400.
The Canon 10-18mm IS STM is the world's first reasonably-priced ultrawide lens. It works only on Canon's APS-C digital cameras. Not only is it the world's least expensive, it's super light weight, and is also optically superb. There is no sharper ultrawide lens for APS-C cameras, and it's much better than Canon's 10-year-old EF-S 10-22mm that
The Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens is a fantastic lens for mirrorless shooters. Actually, pretty much all top range RF (for Canon) and Z (for Nikon) mount lenses are superb for astrophotography. The Galactic Spider is a dark nebula at the border between Cygnus, the Swan, and Cepheus.
Lens Reviews - Canon EOS (Full Format) Review by Klaus Schroiff, published July 2023 Introduction Canon may not have a Pentaxian-level love affair with pancake lenses, but they still have a history here. During the EF mount era, they had an EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM as well as an EF 40mm f/2.8 STM. That electronic zoom also means that you can fully control the focal length from your phone when shooting remotely! • Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm EZ Pancake review. (Image credit: Canon) 2.
